Evgeny Shchegolev

In the orchestra since 2022

Evgeny Shchegolev graduated from the Academic Music College at the Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory (E. U. Markova’s class, 2014) and Moscow State Tchaikovsky Conservatory including an internship (Prof. U. A. Bashmet’s class, 2019, 2021).

In 2017, he interned at the Mendelssohn University of Music and Theatre in Leipzig (Prof. T. V. Mazurenko’s class). He has been working in the musicAeterna orchestra since 2022.

Evgeny Shchegolev has been the laureate of All-Russian and international competitions: The Night in Madrid (Spain, 2016), “Merzlyakovka Welcomes Friends” (2017), the All-Russian Competition for Symphonic Orchestra Musicians (Moscow, 2018) – I prize winner, Nedbal Viola Competition (Czech Republic, 2019) – III prize winner.

He took part in a number of festivals in Germany, Italy, Switzerland, and Austria. From 2018 to 2022 he worked as the first concertmaster of the viola group of the Russian National Youth Symphony Orchestra.
