Dmitri Shostakovich’s quartets and chamber ensembles are the pinnacle of the genre’s development in the 20th century. They present difficulty not only in perception, but also in their performance. An artist of the musicAeterna orchestra with extensive experience in solo and ensemble performance, a member of the instrumental trio that will play Seven Romances on Poems by Alexander Blok as part of the concert in the Zaryadye Hall, Alexey Zhilin will share his experience with students of Moscow higher music schools. The master class is open to public.

The second musicAeterna’s artistic residency in Moscow is timed to coincide with two musicAeterna concerts on September 26 and 27.
As part of the third artistic residency, two major vocal and symphonic concerts are framed by seven events for different audiences: master classes for professionals, creative workshops for all visitors, poetry readings and a tactile rehearsal for the wards of the Deafblind Support Foundation.
