In the orchestra since 2019

HOW DID YOU CHOOSE YOUR INSTRUMENT?
I began my study of music at the age of six. I applied at the Choral Conducting Department, then I almost started studying the cello, but in the end they offered me the French horn. I liked the instrument: the French horn has a very beautiful timbre, and it is somewhat similar to the timbre of the cello.
WHAT IS THE MOST DIFFICULT PART OF BEING A MUSICIAN?
The hardest part in the work of a musician is to achieve maximum concentration in the process of preparing and performing the material, and to maintain it. Many composers pay special attention to the French horn part in their compositions, which only reinforces the need for concentration. The solution to all difficulties lies in constant practice, research, and exchange of experience with colleagues.
HOW DO YOU RECOVER?
I enjoy walking a lot, and I also like cycling. But then again, after long tours, it's nice to play FIFA on Playstation. I like soccer very much! As a child, I played at the Dinamo school in Minsk. And now I'm rooting for AC Milan. I've been going to the gym lately — physical activity helps me relax and recover a lot.
WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR YOU ABOUT WORKING AT MUSICAETERNA?
With the arrival of the musicAeterna orchestra in my life, I have discovered many musical works from a new perspective. Thanks to my colleagues and the conductor, I am also mastering a historical instrument. But most importantly, at musicAeterna I met my love, my wife Kristina Takha.
