Vsevolod Gusov
In the orchestra since 2025
Vsevolod Guzov was born in 1995 in Krasnoyarsk. From 2005 to 2014, he studied at the Central Music School at the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory (the class of Honoured Artist of Russia, Professor Lev Yevgrafov), then he studied in the class of the same teacher at the Moscow Schnittke State Institute of Music until 2019. In 2024, he completed an assistant internship at the Moscow Tchaikovsky State Conservatory under People’s Artist of Russia, Professor Alexander Rudin.
During his studies, he was a scholarship holder of the Mstislav Rostropovich, Vladimir Spivakov, The New Names and Russian Performing Arts Foundations. He is a laureate of Russian and international competitions, including the 44th ‘Concertino Praga’ International Young Musicians Competition (First Prize, Czech Republic, 2010), and the VII International Taneyev Chamber Ensemble Competition (First Prize, Moscow, 2022), VI International Knushevitsky Cellist Competition (First Prize, Saratov, 2023), semi-finalist of the XVII International Tchaikovsky Competition, among others.
He has participated in many festivals and performed as a soloist with such orchestras as the Russian National Orchestra, the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Musica Viva Moscow Chamber Orchestra, and the Nizhny Novgorod Rostropovich Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and many others. He has toured in Austria, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic, Norway, Israel, Turkey, Spain, the USA, etc.
