Program
The Music Dimension is a project where visual arts meet music. A new series of meetings is dedicated to the exhibitions of Ivan and Mikhail Morozov brothers’ collection at the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts and Sergei Shchukin’s collection at the Hermitage.
The second meeting as part of the Musical Dimension project will be dedicated to the Moscow music salons of the 19th century. A musicologist, the Moscow Institute of Music Professor Elena Shabshaevich will present, and musicAeterna members will perform music that sounded in the home salons of the nobility, merchants, the scientific and artistic elites, at musical evenings with famous collectors and patrons the Tretyakovs, the Mamontovs, the Morozovs, and the Shchukins.
