The musicAeterna Orchestra conducted by Teodor Currentzis turns to a monumental composition that bookends the creative path of Anton Bruckner, while at the same time concluding the entire epoch of Austro-German Romanticism. Bruckner’s Symphony No. 9 remained unfinished, but the three movements that had been completed by the composer, as the century-old concert practice has shown, present a complete, exhaustively clear statement.
