Tomorrow, on February 3 at 18:30, Matt Collishaw will give an artist talk as part of the musicAeterna and VTB joint project “What Do I Hear?”.

The British artist will talk about his video installation The Sky Burial which was created by order of musicAeterna for the performance of Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem. In the installation, Fauré’s musical universe is reinterpreted through the images of the Tibetan rite of “heavenly funeral” and claustrophobic views of a London high-rise that survived an obscure catastrophe. According to the artist, he was pushed to such a vision of death having realized the disharmony in the relations of modern man with nature.
The meeting is to be moderated by a curator at the V-A-C Foundation and an art critic Andrei Vasilenko
