Special project musicAeterna and KARO.Art.

musicAeterna and KARO.Art continue the independent cinematography series. At 7 p.m. (MSK) on Saturday, July 25, musicaeterna.org presents “The Dance of Reality”, Alejandro Jodorowsky’s seventh film. The movie will be available for 24 hours.

In “The Dance of Reality”, the famous Chilean filmmaker of Ukrainian and Jewish heritage draws the line about his childhood. Jodorowsky’s hometown of Tocopilla witnesses the surrealistic plot based on his early childhood memories involving monks, prostitutes, his father’s obsession with killing the president, and his mother’s unfulfilled dreams of the opera stage. The filmmaker, writer, composer and psychomage (!) surrounds himself with an aura of myth — and does it with ease only titans are capable of. The maker of “The Mole”, “The Holy Mountain” and the great (albeit unreleased) screen version of “Dune” takes us on another psychedelic trip: this time, through the waves of his own memory.
