Stanislav Avik
In the orchestra since 2023
In 1994 he graduated from the Secondary Special Music School-Lyceum at the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (classes of Vitaly Buyanovsky, Heinrich Avik, 1994) and the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory (class of Stanislav Tses, 2000).
In 1992 he became the laureate of the International Competition for Young Performers of Wind Instruments (Moscow).
From 1996 to 1997 he studied at the Winston-Salem School of the Arts (North Carolina, USA), in 2000, 2001 and 2002 he did an internship under the patronage of the Vienna Philharmonic with Wolfgang Tombeck and with the participation of conductors Valery Gergiev, Peter Schneider, Mariss Jansons and Bobby McFerrin in Attergau (Austria).
In the seasons 1995\1996 and 1997\1998 he worked as an artist of the St. Petersburg Academic Symphony Orchestra. In the 1998\1999 season he was a soloist of the St. Petersburg State Academic Capella Symphony Orchestra. From 1999 to 2011 he worked as the soloist of the Mariinsky Theatre Orchestra. From 2011 to 2014 he worked in the musicAeterna orchestra under the direction of Teodor Currentzis. From 2014 to 2019 he was a soloist of the St Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra, the Honoured Ensemble of Russia. In 2019 he toured with the Musica Viva Orchestra (Moscow). From 2016 to 2021 he worked closely with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Eduard Topchyan, having toured in Germany, Spain, and China. In the 2021\2022 season he was a soloist of the Buryat State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2022 he was a participant, soloist, and tutor of the II Siberian Horn Days Festival in Novosibirsk.
