On February 2 at 19:30, the day before the concert in Moscow, the musicAeterna’s principal choirmaster Vitaly Polonsky will analyze the score with the guests.

Details

The meeting is held as part of the “What do I Hear?” educational project launched in collaboration with musicAeterna’s general partner VTB Bank. The audience will not only find out what the Latin text and music by the French composer, “the master of beauty, light and peace”, are special for, but also will attempt at singing some of its main melodic lines.

Fauré’s Requiem as well as his Pavane and the “Pelléas et Mélisande” symphonic suite by Jean Sibelius will be performed by the musicAeterna orchestra and choir under the conduction of Teodor Currentzis at the St. Petersburg Capella on February 1, at the Zaryadye Hall on February 3, and at the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic on February 5.
