St Petersburg studio AliBaster was established in 1992 on the basis of the Moj Drug Tractor (My Friend Tractor) musical ensemble. The works produced by the studio members are professionally shot on digital video camera experimental feature films that balance on the verge of the high and low genres.
Dom Radio Cinema Laboratory is to present the film Yatinsotests (2004) by Dmitry Vasiliev where bloody routine of a Buryat village are interspersed by Bollywood-like songs and dances and a low-budget tinfoil robots invasion. The film is in a made-up alien Buryat language.
