The premiere of a dance performance with the participation of musicAeterna Dance, created at musicAeterna’s creative residence Dom Radio in St. Petersburg, will be presented at the foot of Mount Ararat.

At sunset, in the ancient Zvartnots temple complex — the Temple of Watchful Angels — performers will show a dance-lamentation “In Every Language Suffering Sounds the Same”. Vladimir Varnava, one of the most sought-after contemporary Russian choreographers, and stage director Anna Guseva recreate in this bodily rite the ritual of mourning for innocent souls. The multi-channel sound installation will combine ritual crying performed by a professional mourner from Armenia, electronic noise, the sounds of the wind sweeping around the Zvartnots temple, and the noise of voices and sighs of the production characters.
