The recital of pianist Varvara Myagkova at Dom Radio in May represents an anthology of piano compositions by Claude Debussy. Two volumes of his piano preludes, etudes, the cycle “Children’s Corner” and the suite “For Piano” form the very core of musical impressionism with its exquisite imagery, the desire to convey fleeting impressions and new ideas about the tone-painting capabilities of the piano.
