Details

The anthology of music from the operas by Jean-Philippe Rameau is the second series of the acclaimed project by Teodor Currentzis and musicAeterna Rameau. The Sound of Light, which was performed in Perm, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and many European capitals from 2011 to 2019, and was recorded and released by Sony Classical label in 2014. The epigraph to the project was the words of Teodor Currentzis: ‘Light is the most incredible phenomenon in the universe. It gives us breath, life and love. So, how would I explain to someone who has never been embraced by the sun what light actually is? I would play them music by Rameau’.
