Mozart’s music occupies a special place in the orchestra’s repertoire: from the first Novosibirsk concerts to the opening of the Salzburg Festival, Teodor Currentzis’ vision has always aroused particular interest of the audience. While the opera trilogy and Requiem can be heard at any time thanks to the ensemble’s discography, every performance of Mozart’s symphonies is a unique and intriguing event. The last two symphonies, No. 40 and No. 41, have not been performed in Russia by the musicAeterna orchestra for over ten years. They will sound in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory on April 12 and 13.
