Details

In the chamber programme, the soloists of the musicAeterna Orchestra, together with the author’s scores, present their own arrangements of famous works by Stravinsky, Prokofiev, and Shostakovich. A movement from the ballet Petrushka will be performed in a piano transcription which was created by Stravinsky himself. Selected miniatures from Prokofiev’s piano cycles Visions fugitives [Fleeting Visions] and Shostakovich’s Preludes will be performed in new arrangements created by the performers specifically for their non-standard chamber ensemble: piano, flute, and harp.
