Program
The retrospective of the Aleynikov brothers continues the Soviet parallel cinema screenings at Dom Radio.
Details
One of the duo participants Gleb Aleynikov and a film critic, the Seans magazine observer Alexey Artamonov will present the works by the Aleynikov brothers of the 1980s: M.E. (Monstrum Exosse), Post-Political Cinema, Waiting for de Bil (the Oberhausen Film Festival prize winner), and The Typist.
The participants of the Perestroika and post-Soviet cinema underground, Gleb and Igor Aleynikov, gave impetus to the birth of a special — daring and experimental — film aesthetics. Their films, emphatically independent of state institutions, built on non-standard shooting and editing techniques, nonconformist themes and images, became the basis of a whole trend — the Soviet parallel cinema.
