The author of numerous books on Dmitri Shostakovich’s works and Soviet-era music, Doctor of Art History Levon Hakobyan, will share details on the link between Shostakovich and Mahler concerning Symphony No. 4, the most ‘Mahlerian’ of all of Shostakovich’s symphonies.
