The second concert of the musicAeterna Baroque cycle at Dom Radio at Nevsky 62 is dedicated to the 455th anniversary of Salamone Rossi (1570 — about 1630). The soloists of the musicAeterna Choir and Orchestra, led by one of the orchestra’s concertmasters, Vladislav Pesin, present to the St Petersburg public for the first time a monograph of the works of the outstanding Italian composer from the turn of the 17th century. This monograph reflects two sides of his life — a brilliant career at the Christian Mantuan court and an attempt to reform synagogue singing in the Jewish community of Mantua.
